Energy, Money and Technology – From the Lens of the Superorganism
January 26, 2018
During Nate Hagens’ #WEP2018 keynote, he discussed how all of our lives will be influenced by how we react to the coming era of harder to extract and more costly fossil fuels that will be combined with cleaner but less concentrated energy types.

Well I have added a second installation of solar electric cells and another inverter.
I have an electric pushbike and plan to get an electric 36v battery lawn mower; when my present lean more next needs major repair costs !
To bad Nate isn’t aware of Geothermal or Thorium both replace fossil fuel based electrical energy and costs less that 1/3rd as much as the cheapest fossil fuel!
Dynamite talk and very adroit of you Nate to carefully avoid The Word that is hit so hard by Kunstler & Orlov, namely Collapse. I thought it was great the way you pushed for an “amoeba target”…what is the whole-race goal? Very important Response to Monte: I’m sure Nate is aware of the possibilities of geothermal (I’m not up on Thorium), but the question as always is: how do you SCALE to get that energy widely distributed? Also, all energy has to be regulated (flattened) for consumption. Kudos to you Nate, we’ll be confronting it all whether we like it or not. Luckily, more stuff doesn’t make you happy! Really loved the talk.
Will his slides be made available for download on this site?
Camera did not spend enough time on the slides to be read completely.
