Dr Robert Millar is an Associate Professor in Hydrotechnical (water) Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. His research and teaching interests include hydrology and river hydraulics, human impacts on water resources, bioengineering and the influence of vegetation on riverbank erosion processes, and increasingly, water use and planning and the design of water infrastructure in a lower energy world.
